Use case
A YouTube link in, Shorts out.
The clips that do well on Shorts are almost never the first sixty seconds of the upload; they are a moment three quarters of the way in that nobody scrolls that far to find. Paste the URL, and the whole video comes back transcribed, split at its real scene changes and ready to cut. The free plan runs a full hour of source video a month through exactly this, with no card.
How it works
Paste the URL
The download runs on our side, not in your browser, so a long upload does not tie up your machine. Local files work identically if the video was never posted.
Pick the moments worth posting
Scene detection and the transcript give you candidate moments with their words attached, so you choose by reading rather than by scrubbing, then trim to the exact frame.
Reframe to 9:16 and caption
Auto-reframe follows the subject rather than cropping the middle of the frame, and animated captions are generated from the transcript, restyleable down to the word.
What you end up with
A vertical cut, not a squeezed one
The 16:9 original stays intact; the 9:16 version is framed, not letterboxed or centre-cropped through the speaker's ear.
No watermark on any paid plan
The free plan opens with a short MakeRoll intro and exports at 720p. Every paid plan removes both, at 1080p on Creator and 4K on Pro.
One long video, many posts
Credits are charged on the source, once. Cutting ten clips out of the same upload costs exactly what cutting one does.
What this does not do
You need the rights to what you paste. This is built for your own channel's footage and for material you are licensed to reuse, not for reposting someone else's video.
Credits are source minutes: a 60-minute video costs 60 credits, however many clips come out of it. Editing and exporting are free and unlimited. Pricing
Try it on your own footage.
An hour of source video free every month: full pipeline, full editor, no watermark, no card.
