A webinar is recorded once, watched live by a few dozen people and then, usually, never again. The useful part is the four minutes where someone answers the question everybody actually had. Transcribing the recording turns it into something you can read and search, and cutting from a transcript is fast enough that a month of posts is an afternoon's work.
How it works
Upload the recording
Whatever your conferencing tool exported. It is transcribed and scanned for scene changes on our GPUs, and a one-hour recording costs 60 credits.
Find the questions worth answering twice
Read the transcript, strike everything around the answer, and the cut ripples through. Slide changes show up as scene boundaries to cut against; a speaker switch you find in the transcript, where the name is.
Give each clip a hook and a shape
Add a hook line, set the format, apply your caption style and brand kit, then export each one. None of that costs credits, however many times you redo it.
What you end up with
A queue instead of a recording
One session becomes eight or ten posts with their own beginnings and endings, rather than a two-hour file nobody will open.
Consistent across a team
Templates carry the format, captions and brand kit, so clips cut by different people come out looking like the same company.
Searchable while you work
The transcript stays alongside the clip, so finding the sentence you half remember is reading, not scrubbing.
What this does not do
MakeRoll starts from a recording you already have. It does not join your calls or record them for you.
